Join us for a panel discussion on green trade show marketing and a mini-trade show featuring TGN members.  We are hosted this month by Xtreme Xhibits, winner of the 2009 “Boost Your Business by Going Green contest”, presented by the Texas Conference for Women.  They are also a member of the Texas Green Network.  They have a great tradeshow/showroom setting for our discussion and show.

Wednesday, April 21 – Slow Money Austin Conference City Hall from 1 to 5pm This April, Slow Money Austin brings the Slow Money movement home, spotlighting the exciting evolution of the Central Texas regional food economy. A vital relationship between people and the land is being rediscovered, and in that rediscovery lie opportunities – opportunities to support fertile soil, healthy agricultural ecosystems and related cultural pursuits, all of which will encourage the regional economy to thrive.

 Austin Backyard Poultry Group Meeting (Callahan’s General Store)

  • The Austin Backyard Poultry Meetup Group is for people who have small backyard flocks of chickens for pets, eggs, and meat.
  • We welcome everyone that has a small backyard flock of chickens or other backyard poultry, as well as those that are interested in getting started raising a small flock of backyard poultry.

  • John/Ben will be onsite to demonstrate effective rainwater collection techniques and to display Green Water Rain Harvesting Products

  • You will need to bring a 16gal tote (if desired) and we will show you how to set up your own worm bins. There is no cost associated with he class. If you desire to purchase worms it will be as follows:
    1/2lb $15
    1lb $25
